Workshops
I have experience of delivering poetry, creative writing and performance workshops in a variety of settings including primary, secondary and special schools, universities, care homes, prisons and with the probation service. I also run CPD sessions for teachers on practical tools for using poetry in the classroom and across the curriculum.

I am flexible and happy to tailor workshops around your timetable, curriculum and desired outcomes.

Feedback

'Jess has done a brilliant job. It has been quite a challenge, especially since many of the participants have quite basic English. However, Jess has shown great skill working with our group and has engaged them to a degree we would never have thought possible. The class has  been one of the highlights of our year.'
'Jess's skill in being able to develop students' literacy skills within real-life contexts enabled the students, of a range of abilities, to enjoy and appreciate the value of their learning.'

'Jess is able to adapt her workshops to all levels, so that everyone who attends is fully engaged, gets a great sense of achievement and , above all has fun! She took our very varied, ever changing group in her stride - I can't imagine anyone else who could deal with us so well.'
